Daniel's Experiment

Daniel has really enjoyed my juggling toys. Sure all the kids want to get everything out, throw them up a few times then go find another, easier game to play, but not Daniel. He has enough determination and enjoyment of playing alone that he can practice and practice for several days. Sure he only works at it for 10-15 minutes at a time, but that's plenty when you are learning something like this. Why does he do it??? I told all of the kids that I will teach them to juggle when they can throw a ball (bean bag) up in the air and catch it with one hand. Even as talanted as Levi is, he cannot yet catch them in one hand, but I think that by the time Daniel gets it figured out then the others will be ready too. So keep practicing, Dan Courage!

Enjoy!

My "children" and their robotic ant farm...

The manufacturer calls them HexBug Nanos. My children call them "Bichos" ("beech-oes": Spanish for "Bugs"). My engineer-type husband  wisely saw their habitat/tracks as the smallest, most portable build-your-own-track toy we could find. And besides....they were on clearance. :P Now if he'll just let the KIDS play with it we'll be doing good. ;)
